The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Mark Jankowski to a new two-year contract, the club announced. The deal carries an average annual salary of $1.85 million.
The 31-year-old forward appeared in 68 regular-season games with the Hurricanes last season, recording 11 goals and 9 assists. In the ongoing playoffs, he has played eight games and registered one assist. Over his NHL career, Jankowski has played 482 regular-season games for the Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, and Nashville Predators, accumulating 145 points (79 goals, 66 assists). In the playoffs, he has 31 games with one goal and three assists.
Jankowski was originally selected by Calgary in the first round, 21st overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft.
