New Zealand Formula 1 driver Liam Lawson, who races for the Racing Bulls team, shared an amusing story about his travel documents.
“Because of the break after Japan, I ended up staying in New Zealand a bit longer with my family, so that was good. That allowed me to calmly get a new passport, and the new one will last another five years—or until I run out of pages again!” Lawson told RacingNews365.
When asked whether he would have faced difficulties racing in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia if he hadn’t obtained the new passport in time, Lawson laughed and admitted: “That’s where my preparation and organizational skills come in (laughs). I probably should have done it before the season started.”
